OpenAI and xAI Launch ChatGPT Mil and Grok for Pentagon Use
The Pentagon has expanded its GenAI.mil portal with ChatGPT Mil and Grok for Government, giving 3 million DoD personnel access to frontier AI models in a data-isolated, government-controlled environment. This closes a meaningful defensive gap by eliminating the need for personnel to route sensitive work through consumer AI channels with commercial data collection practices.
